Boost C++ Libraries: Ticket #10175: Integrating build asio as a library into the boost build system https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/10175 It would be nice if the boost build system had an option "--with-asio" to build asio as a shared library. Yes, it's possible to build it manually, but it would be better to be able to build it like the rest of the boost libraries. In fact, there's at least one scenario where proper behavior isn't acheived unless it's built as a shared library.
