1. Somehow or other it ends up in msvc/typeof_impl.hpp without BOOST_MSVC being defined - I believe the fix for this would be to change boost/typeof/typeof.hpp to check if __clang__ is defined if _MSC_VER is defined and use native typeof.

2.
