Boost C++ Libraries: Ticket #4615: project-config.jam usefulness https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/4615
project-config.jam is loaded only in the current directory tree, and acts as the parent project of all Jamroots in your tree. This is very useful. However, since it has no "location" you cannot specify a build-dir in it which limits it's usefulness.

I'll include a simple patch which gives project-config.jam a location, and solves this problem. IMHO this is better behavior because project-config.jam is not in BOOST_BUILD_PATH but in your own tree just like Jamfiles and Jamroots.
en-us Boost C++ Libraries /htdocs/site/boost.png https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/4615 Trac 1.4.3 bfreyburger@… Tue, 31 Aug 2010 18:26:42 GMT attachment set https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/4615 https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/4615

attachment → boost-build-project-config-location.patch

patch
Ticket Vladimir Prus Wed, 01 Sep 2010 08:40:26 GMT status changed; resolution set https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/4615#comment:1 https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/4615#comment:1

status new → closed

resolution → fixed

(In <a class="changeset" href="https://svn.boost.org/trac10/changeset/65163" title="Give a location to project-config.jam.
