Boost C++ Libraries: Ticket #5387: Setting system time https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/5387
Boost provides many examples of getting the system time, but I cannot find how to set the time/date of the system using boost. I don't know if this is an omission of documentation/examples or simply that it is not implemented. It would be a nice feature to have, but I do realize perhaps not as popular as getting the time. If this feature already exists, could an example be added to the website as I've been googling the subject most of the morning without results.
en-us Boost C++ Libraries /htdocs/site/boost.png https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/5387 Trac 1.4.3 az_sw_dude Sun, 01 Jul 2012 17:56:59 GMT

The library doesn't offer this function and frankly it's not something that's easy to implement in a portable fashion. And you're correct, it's not a use case that comes up frequently (this is first such request I've seen. As such I don't intend to supply this.

status changed; resolution set https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/5387#comment:2 https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/5387#comment:2

status new → closed

resolution → wontfix

Ticket
