Boost C++ Libraries: Ticket #5531: MPI-autodetection on Windows does not support MS-MPI v2 https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/5531
Hi there. MPI-autodetection (in mpi.jam) on Windows only looks for MS-MPI v1 (to be found in "C:
Program Files
Microsoft Compute Cluster Pack", as the product v1 was named Compute Cluster Pack), it overlooks MS-MPI v1 (to be found in "C:
Program Files
Microsoft HPC Pack 2008 SDK" or "C:
Program Files
Microsoft HPC Pack 2008 R2 SDK").

Simple workaround: Extend mpi.jam to search in all three paths (as in the one attached). Actually, this is the behavior I would like to see by default).

Kind regards, Christian.
en-us Boost C++ Libraries /htdocs/site/boost.png https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/5531 Trac 1.4.3 Christian Terboven <christian@…> Wed, 11 May 2011 19:40:20 GMT attachment set https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/5531 https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/5531

attachment → mpi.zip

Modified mpi.jam to search in all possible directories for MS-MPI.
Ticket anonymous Fri, 03 Feb 2012 18:09:07 GMT

this should really work for openmpi too. there's another trac ticket for that with a proposed fix
