Boost C++ Libraries: Ticket #7786: Add support for RTTI-disabled environments https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/7786
Boost.Iostreams does not compile when -fno-rtti is defined. There are lots of environments where it is not possible to activate RTTI. It would be useful if it could support non-RTTI settings even if it means a smaller set of functionality.
en-us Boost C++ Libraries /htdocs/site/boost.png https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/7786 Trac 1.4.3 Mika Fischer <mika.fischer@…> Tue, 09 Apr 2013 14:59:59 GMT cc set https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/7786#comment:1 https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/7786#comment:1

cc mika.fischer@… added

Ticket spatz@… Wed, 01 May 2013 14:37:38 GMT cc changed https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/7786#comment:2 https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/7786#comment:2

cc spatz@… added

Ticket viboes Mon, 13 Jan 2014 22:29:14 GMT type changed https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/7786#comment:3 https://svn.boost.org/trac10/ticket/7786#comment:3

type Support Requests → Feature Requests

Ticket lukas.twardus@… Tue, 26 Aug 2014 09:51:09 GMT

Is there a chance for this to be done ?

Would it be viable solution to change typeid() to use boost::type_index::type_id<> instead?
