How can we support language specific features, like Lua threads and Python docstring?

Should we support selecting a specific overload dynamically, from the language side (Lua, Python, etc.)?

Dave:

IMO there is no need to support that other than by choosing the argument types carefully.

How to support language specific policies, or user defined policies?
