boost.build causes ftjam to segfault

ftjam segfaults in the compile.c function when I try to
use the <lib> feature as in the documentation.
(expand.c's var_expand() returns null)

I've submitted a bug report on the freetype project at
soureforge. (see bugs #461386 and #461389 under the
freetype2 build system category)

Boost uses its own, enhanced version of "jam", not the
original "ftjam".
