Description
Boost does not officially support VC++ 2008 (9.0, _MSC_VER=1500). Beta 2 is out now with a "go-live" license, so it is time to support it. The changes from 2005 (8.0) are fairly minimal.

I don't know what "official" means, but both config and boost.build now support 9.0 just fine.
