Search box and Google link

On the front page, the search box and Google logo confused me. They look more like separators than a text box and link.

Not filling the search box green might help.

Or perhaps putting the Google logo/link inside the box and arranging it as

I think that would be clearer.

There's probably a new site on the way, so not much point in fixing this.
