now we have the basis of a doxygen documentation. Next steps are: 1- write more documentation for all functions and methods 2- update the current documentation on the website with

2.1 - clean up documentation and update it 2.2 - write tutorials 2.3 - merge emails, blogs, wiki into a single web page

Merged doxygen documentation with 1.44. Next step is to document thoroughky all methods and types. Strict goal for 1.45 are methods Non-strict goal is a rewrite of the main documentation
