#527 closed Feature Requests (Rejected)

Support for DevC++

Description

I currently use the wxWidgets enhanced DevC++ here:
http://wxdsgn.sourceforge.net/
I'd like to see how a *Boost*ed DevC++ would compare,
though I don't see it listed in the supported
compilers.

I'm afraid this request is a bit generic for us to accept.
We would need a specific list of tasks that would be
required for Boost to support DevC++ in this special way.
Specifically, many Boost libraries are probably not
supportable on Borland Delphi 6.0 Personal Edition which
from the wx-devcpp page appears to be the prefered windows
compiler.

BTW, gcc mingw is already supported, so I believe boost can
already be used with dev c++. In fact, I've done some
simple programs using dev c++ and boost so using gcc mingw.

Process was basically:
  -- download, build/install boost
  -- download dev c++
  -- include and link boost libraries as needed from dev c++

Since we're all here, we must not be all there.
