Hi,

I'm trying to build the boost library and I always get the error mentioned in the title.

First, I tried to build it with the default toolset which was Visual Studio and it worked but I cannot make it work with mingw gcc on Windows. I've followed the instructions on page http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_54_0/more/getting_started/windows.html#install-boost-build.

I think the problem was mingw was installed in C:\Program Files (x86) and it is clearly stated not do so on mingw page. In my case, it was installed with an IDE. I reinstall it in c:\mingw and now it seems to work.
