Description
Hello,
I am trying to compile boost1.53, I can't use a version newer than 1.55 as this is for the Cufflinks RNA tools. I already had this version installed and working previously, but an HDD made me have to reinstall everything. The commands I have used (multiple times) before are:
./bootstrap.sh
which gives:
Building Boost.Build engine with toolset gcc... tools/build/v2/engine/bin.linuxx86_64/b2 Detecting Python version... 2.7 Detecting Python root... /usr Unicode/ICU support for Boost.Regex?... not found. Generating Boost.Build configuration in project-config.jam...
Bootstrapping is done. To build, run:
./b2
To adjust configuration, edit 'project-config.jam'. Further information:
- Command line help: ./b2 --help
- Getting started guide: http://www.boost.org/more/getting_started/unix-variants.html
- Boost.Build documentation: http://www.boost.org/boost-build2/doc/html/index.html
Then I run:
./bjam link=static runtime-link=static stage install I get the following
Which is now giving me:

Whereas before it compiled without issue. I need the runtime-links to be static, when I try to make the cufflinks files I get a bunch of errors from hpp files in /usr/local/boost/* folders otherwise.
I got the same errors when I put variant=debug variant=release on the same command line
